Fentanyl is like no other drug we have seen before. It is ravaging our country and killing Americans by the hundreds of thousands. Fentanyl can cause sudden death and is taking the lives of the unsuspecting. Facing Fentanyl is our way of bringing awareness to the public until our government acts on this crisis.

Most of us on this site have lost a child to fentanyl poisoning. Some families have lost more than one child or multiple family members and friends to this deadly poison. We come forth to sound the alarm to others and want to prevent more deaths.

There are many issues related to illicit fentanyl. Unfortunately, this site is not large enough to tell you about them all. The groups in support of this National Day effort bring awareness to all issues of fentanyl in one form or another.

If you are here just because you realize the need for action, I genuinely appreciate you. If you are a newcomer because you have been affected by fentanyl, you will find someone here to support you. Whether it is through your grief or your newfound advocacy. Which many times are the same. Our organizations may have different opinions on how we face fentanyl, but we all agree that we want to prevent fentanyl poisonings. In 2018, I lost my daughter to a counterfeit pill manufactured with fentanyl. A deadly M30. My head was in the sand. I could not understand how something so small could take my child's life. I didn't know this was happening all over the world, much less in my hometown. Most of us have taken a medicine or pain pill for something and we lived, it didn't kill us. Now I am all too familiar with facts about the changed drug landscape and the devastation this poison causes. Now I know that this poison kills daily and in the smallest amount. Just 2mg can be the end. One and done.

This is a national emergency. Many people have the idea that this only happens if you are an "addict". This is simply not true. Unsuspecting or addicted we cannot allow this form of terrorism on our Country.

The deception and lethality of this drug is intentionally produced to harm us. We encourage you to be a voice with us. Whether you have been affected by fentanyl or not. Don't wait until it's too late.
Continue to learn the facts. Continue to spread the word. Reach out to your senators and local leaders to address this crisis. If you can just tell one person, you are making a difference.
